The Ballet School of Vermont is dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for high-quality classical ballet instruction in Northern Vermont. Ballet builds a strong technical foundation which enhances all forms of dance. Classes in ballet include Pointe Technique, Variations and Performance. The Ballet School is home to Northern Vermont Ballet Company, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to keeping dance theater and advanced classical ballet programs in Northern Vermont. NVB presents dance theater productions unlike any other performing arts event in Franklin County, VT. The Ballet School of Vermont is proud to include the American Ballet Theatre® National Training Curriculum, a breakthrough 8 level program that combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development. The ABT® National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels.

Primary through Level 7 & Partnering will be taught by ABT® Certified Teacher, Maryellen Vickery, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through Level 7 & Partnering of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.

Our students...
BSVT offers a range of classes starting with 3½-year-old tiny ballerinas up to adults. Students come to dance at The Ballet School of Vermont from all over Franklin, Grand Isle and Chittenden Counties. Guest artists and professionals often drop in for classes when visiting Northern Vermont. Our studio is conveniently located just off exit 19 of Interstate I-89 in St. Albans, Vermont; surprisingly close to Burlington.
