Welcome
The Ballet School of Vermont is dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for high-quality classical ballet instruction in Northern Vermont. Ballet builds a strong technical foundation which enhances all forms of dance. Classes in ballet include Pointe Technique, Variations and Performance. Tap, Modern and Jazz are also offered to compliment ballet instruction. Video Demonstrations are available on The Ballet School YouTube Channel as well as under Class Descriptions.Each June, all BSVT students present a dance theater production unlike any other performing arts event in Franklin County, VT. Please consider supporting performing arts instruction in your community with your attendance or sponsorship. Join our mailing list to stay informed of performance dates throughout the year from our student company Northern Vermont Ballet as well.
Our instructors and guest teachers have danced professionally with the Houston Ballet, Boston Ballet, Washington Ballet, Ballet Nouveau Colorado, Hartford Ballet, Fort Worth/Dallas Ballet and the Dallas Metropolitan Ballet. Dedication, artistry and love sets BSVT apart!
The Ballet School of Vermont is proud to include the American Ballet Theatre®National Training Curriculum, a breakthrough 8 level program that combines high quality artistic trainingwith thebasics of dancerhealth and child development. The ABT® National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels. Primary through Level 7 & Partnering will be taught by ABT® Certified Teacher, Maryellen Vickery, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through Level 7 & Partnering of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.
Thank you so much for letting my daughters and I get a feel for your dance studio. We all loved it very much. I knew you were a very intense dance school but I wanted to also make sure that it was fun... and it was definitely both. I wanted to get up and dance. You have a style that just makes you want to imitate your beautiful dance moves and expressions. Just let us know when we need to register for the fall.
